Two wheels not enough for you? Roam the streets of Beijing in style with an authentic communist era sidecar – the Yangtze 750. Our experienced bikers will give you an up close and personal tour of both old and new Beijing. Our sidecars can also be booked for other events.
Our biker guide will pick you at your hotel, and you’ll cruise through the ancient Hutongs of Beijing and experience an up close and personal look at local life in Beijing, as well as Beijing’s artistic boom in Nanluoguxiang, a 500+ year old hutong filled with funky art shops, restaurants and bars. You’ll finish your tour of old Beijing at Houhai Lake, one of the most popular spots for locals to dance, do Taichi, and swim.
Then you’ll head north to visit the Bird’s Nest, the primary venue of the 2008 Olympics, and a true symbol of China’s economic and technological achievements. Designed by Herzog and De Meuron, the most unique feature of the structure is its “cushion” system that can fill the spaces within the building’s facade to regulate wind, weather, and sunlight.
After a drive by these fantastic spots you’ll be ready for a relaxing evening back in your hotel.
